LOCATION: Stamford, CT (600 Washington Boulevard) preferred; or New York, NY (660 Fifth Avenue); in-person attendance requiredYOUR ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Microsoft Solutions Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and enhance our Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with particular emphasis on Exchange Online and Outlook platforms. Expert level skills required for key ecosystem elements such as OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and Copilot 365. This position will prioritize enhancing the end-user experience through close collaboration with user support and infrastructure teams. The candidate is expected to be a self-starter who will be proactive in improving our Microsoft environment for users, using automation to realize efficiencies, providing thought leadership on new opportunities and responding thoughtfully to user ideas and concerns. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Ownership of email delivery, Exchange Online services and Outlook client configuration and optimization
• Ownership of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Intune, Power BI and others.
• Responsibility for resolving complex technical issues (Tier 2-3) and perform root cause analysis to optimize the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Ensure high levels of security and performance across the Microsoft 365 environment, including implementing and maintaining security best practices in collaboration with the InfoSec team.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure groups on backup/recovery operations and disaster recovery testing related to O365 implementation.
• Stay informed about upcoming changes to Microsoft 365 platforms and assist with organizational change management and documentation updates.
• Develop and implement efficient solutions using PowerShell and Graph API to design and automate workflows, meeting organizational needs and improving business processes.
• Partner with third-party service providers and applications to ensure seamless integration within Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to support team members on Microsoft 365 and Exchange environment.Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional experience in IT systems administration, with at least 5 years focused on Microsoft Azure cloud systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing intricate mailbox lifecycle retention policies and messaging transport rules.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 architecture and administration, particularly Exchange Online and Outlook.
  • Strong experience with OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams and Intune administration.
  • Expert level PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Experience with Azure Entra ID, identity management, and security features within M365.
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance features in the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position in New York City is $200,000 to $250,000. In addition to base salary, Viking employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, 100% coverage of medical and dental premiums, and paid lunches.
